Archival & Upscaled VHS & Camcorder transfers

For customers who want the highest possible quality, Lakeshore Digitizing offers archival-grade transfers and optional upscaling for VHS and camcorder tapes. Instead of heavily compressing the video during capture, we create high-bitrate digital master files that preserve more of the original signal from your tapes.

These archival files can result in larger file sizes, but they retain more detail and motion information. When combined with careful upscaling, this process creates a higher-quality digital copy that is better suited for long-term preservation, editing, and modern playback.
